The calendar has flipped to February and that means Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching.
Valentine’s Day is a great time to reflect on all of the love that surrounds us, in its many forms. Some of us are celebrating romantic love this holiday, grateful for finding and falling in love with our life partner. Some of us are celebrating the love of family – the beautiful bond that binds us to our siblings, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Some of us are celebrating the love of friendship, and the important role it plays in our life to help us stay balanced, grounded and sane.
Here at Ashley’s, we’re adding another type of love to the list: we’re celebrating the love of you, our customers and our friends.
We hope you know how much we appreciate you and all of your support over the years, especially during 2020. We wouldn’t be who we are today without you.
In case you didn’t know, we want to tell you it’s an absolute joy for us to be there to help you celebrate life deliciously. We love being your go-to choice for special treats, like donuts on a Saturday morning. We enjoy watching kids squeeze into the shop, marveling at the creations in the case, and finally picking out their favorite donuts. We love when we get to the level where we know you so well, that we can box your donut order when we see you walk in the door.
We love learning about you and your families, watching your children grow as the seasons change and the years pass by. We love seeing kids stop in for an after school treat. We love when young adults swing by if they are home visiting from college, or when you stop by to say hello if you’ve moved out of the area. We love that when you come home, you come to Ashley’s.
Thank you, friends, for trusting us with your treasured life events: weddings and births and baptisms, anniversaries and birthdays. We don’t take this lightly, and know you are counting on us to help make special moments beautiful – and tasty!
There is something so lovely about creating a caking, knowing it will be cut into by the bride and groom, the first dessert the couple shares as Mr and Mrs.
We love providing the treats for baby showers. It’s as if we can feel the hope and excitement of the event as we’re baking the sweets.
We love making smash cakes, knowing pudgy little hands will be plunged into the sweetness, perhaps tasting sugar for the very first time.
We love bringing the vision of a custom order to life, the joy on your face when you pick it up and tell us it’s just what you wanted.
We love baking birthday cakes, knowing they’ll make the birthday boy or girl feel celebrated and special, just as they should on their special day.
We love being your preferred stop for a “just because” treat.
So this Valentine’s Day, we want you to know that we love you and are forever grateful for the wonderful friends that you are. You’ve supported this family-owned business – our dream! – for 38 years and counting. How lucky we are to have such kind, friendly, funny, creative, loyal, caring customers! All of you make this job a treat for us.
