It’s fall, y’all! The crisp morning air, the falling leaves, the nights keeping cozy around the bonfire. Autumn has arrived, and it’s certainly one of my favorite seasons.
I love watching the leaves change on the trees, painting the landscape a beautiful array of colors. I love wearing cozy sweaters and sweatshirts but leaving the jacket at home. I love the fun, festive activities of fall: pumpkin patches and apple picking and football tailgates.
Seasonal treats
I also love the way the bakery smells as we create your favorite seasonal treats. Pop into Ashley’s and you’ll find all things pumpkin right now.
You can enjoy everything from pumpkin cookies and donuts to pumpkin rolls and pumpkin bars. We can’t mention pumpkin without talking about our delicious pumpkin pie. You can event pick up yummy seasonal pumpkin bread and muffins – the perfect way to start an October day!
Fall fun
As if we needed any more reasons to love October, it’s also National Apple Month. You may have noticed how delicious the apples are at the store right now, no matter the variety.
It’s apple time for us, too! We have apple pie, apple dumplings, muffins, cakes, cookies and donuts. Stop by and start your Saturday with an apple treat, then head to a local farm or orchard for an afternoon of fall fun with the family.
Here are a few we’d recommend checking out:
- Kleather’s Pumpkin Patch – This is the perfect place to find your pumpkins, pick up some mums for your porch, or enjoy an apple cider slushie.
90 West Central Avenue, Springboro, OH 45066 - Tom’s Maze and Pumpkin Farm – The whole fam can get lost in fun here! There’s a complex corn maze (voted in the top 10 in the state!), a pumpkin train ride, Tom’s Punkin’ Chunkin’ Cannon, market and more. Tom’s Maze and Pumpkin farm is open through November 3.
4881 Germantown-Liberty Road, Germantown, OH 45327 - Katie’s Pumpkin Barn – Located in Xenia, you can find a wide variety of pumpkins, plus a petting zoo and corn maze. Perfect for weekend fun.

Do you have a favorite spot to add to the list? We’d love to hear where you like to go for an afternoon of fall fun!
There’s so much to do in this season, fall never feels long enough to me. It suddenly arrives and then Whoosh! – it’s gone as fast as the falling leaves. My hope is to savor the simple pleasures this season.
We are looking forward to helping you celebrate life deliciously this fall. See you soon at the bakery!
