The Fall season officially starts on Monday. I know the current daily temperatures feel more like summer than autumn, but we can’t deny a new season is almost here.
And there is just something magical about fall, isn’t there? The crisp air, the crunch of leaves underfoot, cozy sweaters, and—let’s be honest—the return of delicious seasonal baked goods here at Ashley’s.
Each year, we have certain staples that are always big hits with all of you. If you’re coming back again or it’s your first fall trying our treats, here are some of our fall bakery favorites that deserve a spot at your table.
Apple Dumplings. You know fall is here when you bite into one of these tasty treats. Our apple dumplings are apples coated with cinnamon and sugar, wrapped in pastry dough and baked until tender. They are delicious on their own or served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. - Caramel Apple Cake. You know the deliciousness of caramel apples – the tart apple, the sweet, buttery caramel, and the crunch of the nuts – it’s one of those treats that signals the turn of the season when you see them at the store. Our caramel apple cake blends all of these yummy flavors into a tasty cake, perfect for a treat on any fall day.
- Apple Spice Donuts. If you could taste fall, I would say it would be this – an apple spice donut. These apple cake donuts (coated with cinnamon and sugar) taste best served warm (I think!). They are the perfect treat for breakfast, or with an afternoon cup of coffee…or anytime, really.
