You may remember this topic- you ask, we answer. Back in the spring we thought it’d be fun to share some of the questions we get asked again and again. We believe asking questions is one of the best ways to learn something, and since we’ve been in the baking business more than 35 years, we’ve fielded a lot of questions and thought it’d be fun to share a few more with you. 

After reading this, if there’s something else you’re still curious about, ask! We’d love to help you learn more about us. 

What’s your favorite?
So many times we get asked this question. I’m a nibbler and enjoy a bite or two throughout the day but I can always, always go for a slice of a warm, fresh bread with butter. Yum!

What is the BEST part of your job?
This is an easy question – the PEOPLE are the best part of my job! Our customers are part of our family because they have chosen to include our deliciousness into their lives. We are honored to help you celebrate life’s moments, and enjoy working with our customers to create delicious creations for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays or those “just because” days.

What do you look for when you hire someone?
At Ashley’s, we are a customer service bakery that sells the BEST bakery goods. We need people that love helping customers, bakers and decorators. We look for people that are passionate about their skills. We can train and develop our staff, but a smile on their face and a friendly, positive attitude can go a long way!

What time do you get up?
Our bakers start at 2:00 am, so I can have banker’s hours in comparison. I arrive at 6:30 am, as the bakery doors open at 7:00 am. My husband and I don’t even have to set an alarm anymore – our bodies just know when it’s time to wake up and bake someone happy!
