The world today could use more kindness. On a grand scale would be great, but there are a lot of small gestures that can make things a little brighter in our neighborhoods, communities and small piece of this world. We can all impact someone else’s day, and it doesn’t have to be a difficult task to pay goodwill forward.

Smile at strangers. Hold the door open for the person coming into the store behind you. Talk to the barista making your morning coffee. Send a friend a card via snail mail. Return a wayward grocery cart to the cart corral in the parking lot. Give someone a compliment…and really mean it. Call up a family member just to say hello. Share a plate of cookies with coworkers. Be kind.

A lot of these are simple things we can easily work into our routines because they don’t take a lot of effort since we’re already out grabbing our coffee or running into the grocery store. It’s just a little way we can make a difference and help brighten someone’s day.

Here at Ashley’s Pastries, we are thankful for the supportive community that helped make us the bakery we are today. We’ve been on the receiving end of much kindness from customers like you and for that we are sincerely grateful.

We like to pay that kindness forward. Ashley’s Pastries is proud to partner with nonprofits, charities, schools and fundraisers. We believe in giving back to the community that has helped Ashley’s achieve the success we have. If you’d like Ashley’s to help with an event or fundraiser, here are a few steps to help you navigate our process for donation requests.

  1. Only requests that are presented in person are reviewed for possible donation.
  2. The request must be submitted on letterhead, stating the date of the event and the mission of your organization. If applicable, please provide your 501(c) number.
  3. All requests are reviewed within seven days and we will call you with our decision.  Please remember to include a contact phone number on your request letter.
  4. If you are selected and you have a social media presence, we love posts, tweets and mentions about how we are helping.

We hope you reach out to us so together we can make a difference in 2018.
