We can’t wait for fall and all the pumpkin treats that come with it! They might be the universal sign of the season. Thankfully, pumpkins are quite healthy for us! They contain potassium and Vitamin A, and are quite delicious when used to make yummy treats.
Did you know that the largest pumpkin pie ever made weighed more than 350 pounds and was over five feet in diameter? According to the website The Pumpkin Patch, to make this enormous pie it took 80 pounds of cooked pumpkin, 36 pounds of sugar, 12 dozen eggs and took six hours to bake!
While we don’t make pies that big, we certainly bake plenty of pumpkin pies every year. (If you want one for Thanksgiving, make sure you give us a call and put your order in early!) We also offer pumpkin cake donuts, pumpkin cream cheese iced cookies, pumpkin rolls and pumpkin raisin bread loaf. Have you tried any or all of these? If not, stop in to see us and pick up a tasty treat. We promise your tastebuds will thank you.
