Friends, it feels good to be back. It feels good to be back in the bakery, making sweets and treats and those favorite comfort food  to share with you.

During this uncertain time in the world, comfort food is welcomed and needed, and we want to be here for you.

Easter is just days away and though it will look different for most of us in so many ways this year, there will be elements that remain the same: time spent with our immediate family, homemade meals, Easter baskets and Easter candy, and your favorite treats from Ashley’s.

As we reopen, please know we are taking precautions to follow the guidelines of the mandate that Governor DeWine has put into place to ensure the safety of our employees and customers:

  1. We are now offering curbside delivery. Call ahead to place your order and we can bring it out to you.
  2. Only two customers will be allowed in the bakery at a time. We’ve marked social distancing spacing inside and out.
  3. You can make your payments via Venmo and PayPal.
  4. We’re placing products behind and inside cases.
  5. We’re washing our hands between each customer.
  6. Hand sanitizers will be available for customer and employee use.
  7. All employees will wear a mask during his or her shift.
  8. We’re following all CDC recommendations on cleaning and sanitizing.

When things are uncertain, it’s comforting to have familiarity in our days. And we hope to offer that by having all of your favorite treats available for your own Easter celebrations.

Start the morning with one of our delicious, savory coffee cakes. Serve a basket of fresh, warm dinner rolls as the perfect pairing to your Easter meal. Our sweet butterscotch rolls taste delicious anytime of the day.

With the disruption of our normal routines, you may have lost track of time and feel as if Easter has suddenly crept up on you. We’re here to help ease a bit of the stress right now by helping with your Easter meal and by offering up a few quick ideas for Easter baskets.

Thankfully, retailers like Target are offering store or curbside pickup, so you can order online and quickly get what you need for baskets without much contact. There’s always Amazon, too, but order soon — there’s no guarantee you can get items within two days right now.

One way to make last minute shopping feel a bit easier – pick a theme for baskets. Need some inspiration? Here’s a few ideas we hope you find helpful.

The Great Outdoors. Fill a basket with things kids can use outside, like sand toys, bubbles, a jump rope, sidewalk chalk, and a bright colored ball.

Summer Ready. Sunny days are ahead and you’ll want to be ready. For this basket, include a swimsuit, googles, dive toys, beach towel and a pair of flip-flops.

Get Growing. Got a budding gardener in your house? Include in his or her basket flower and vegetable seed packets, garden gloves, kid-sized gardening tools (like shovels, spades and a mini rake) and a small watering can.

Sports Star. Sports may be on hold at the moment, but your sports fan will be happy to have a basket filled with baseball cards, some baseballs or a soccer ball, a water bottle, and bubble gum.

Be sure to include some candy and sweet treats from Ashley’s, and you’ll be all set!

Thank you for your continued support of Ashley’s Pastries. It means so much to us and it means a lot to be able to help you celebrate life deliciously. Happy Easter, friends!
